Jaeger’s Art Shack

Terms of Service

Effective July 25, 2026

These terms explain the basic conditions for using ShackBot at https://shackbot.jaegerdraws.casa and https://join.jaegerdraws.casa. They are meant to be read alongside the community rules shown during the join process.

The short version: Use your own information, follow the community rules, do not abuse the service, and understand that joining or remaining in the Discord server is not guaranteed.

1. What ShackBot does

ShackBot helps Jaeger’s Art Shack handle email verification, Discord onboarding, moderation actions, role restoration, and appeals. It supports the server team; it does not replace their judgment or Discord’s own rules and systems.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By submitting a join request, authorizing ShackBot through Discord, using an appeal form, or interacting with ShackBot’s moderation features, you agree to these terms and the current community rules.

If you do not agree, do not continue with the join or appeal process.

3. Use information that belongs to you

Pseudonymous and preferred names are welcome. The email address and Discord account used for verification must be yours or must be used with clear permission.

Do not impersonate another person, submit someone else’s private information, or try to connect an application to an account you do not control.

4. Follow the community rules

Access to the Discord server depends on following the rules presented during onboarding and any clearly announced updates. Discord’s own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also continue to apply.

The community rules are separate from this page. If a community rule is more specific, follow the more specific rule.

5. Do not misuse ShackBot

You must not:

  • send automated, repeated, deceptive, or abusive requests;
  • try to bypass verification, rate limits, permissions, or moderation controls;
  • probe, attack, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service without written permission;
  • submit knowingly false reports or appeals;
  • use ShackBot to harass, threaten, expose, or impersonate another person;
  • use the service for unlawful activity.

6. Joining is not guaranteed

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. The server team may deny, limit, suspend, or remove access when reasonably needed to enforce community rules, protect people, respond to security concerns, meet legal obligations, or operate the community.

Where an appeal process is available, you may use it. An appeal is a request for review, not a promise that a decision will change.

7. Moderation actions

Authorized moderators may use ShackBot to record reports, apply timeouts, change eligible roles, add the Doodlebug role, ban members, review cases, restore eligible roles, and process appeals.

ShackBot records what it attempted and whether the action succeeded. Discord permissions, outages, deleted roles, or configuration errors can prevent an action from completing. If something appears wrong, contact the server team rather than trying to work around it.

8. Service availability

ShackBot is provided as a community service. It may be unavailable during maintenance, provider outages, configuration work, or unexpected failures. The server team may change or retire features when necessary.

Reasonable care is taken to keep the service accurate and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be promised.

9. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what information ShackBot collects, why it is used, who can see it, and how long it is kept.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the service or community process materially changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after a clearly announced change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Contact

Questions about ShackBot or these terms can be sent to [email protected].

Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
